Heatherwoode Golf Club is an upscale public golf facility located in Springboro, Ohio. Springboro is a vibrant, affluent city located in southwest Ohio. Designed by Denis Griffiths, Heatherwoode has gone through numerous upgrades and improvements since opening in 1991. The golf course is home to Wright State Universitv Raiders Golf Team. The golf course will be undergoing a complete irrigation installation in 2023/2024, including a pump station. The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for hiring, training, and supervising a staff of up to 30 golf course maintenance employees. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the golf course superintendent to ensure the highest conditions possible. Candidate must possess a positive attitude, problem solving, great work ethic, and attention to detail. Associate's degree or certificate in Turf Grass Management or a related field preferred. Minimum of three years of golf course maintenance experience preferred. Must possess Ohio Pesticide License or have the ability to obtain licensure within six (6) months. Position: 2nd Assistant Superintendent Course: Maketewah Country Club Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Maketewah Country Club is a Donald Ross designed course, with a strong emphasis on golf located in Cincinnati, Ohio . The club is currently working with architect Brain Silva on finishing his master plan for Maketewah. The final phase to our master plan, that will be starting in the Fall of 2022, and will include fairway bunkering, rerouting of fairways, and all new teeing complexes. Along with the course renovations, a new irrigation system will be installed.
The 2nd Assistant will work closely with the superintendent in all aspects of course maintenance, as well as in construction of the club’s master plan. This will be a great opportunity to learn all aspects on turf maintenance, along with construction, and irrigation installation in the transition zone of the country.
Educational Requirements
Must have a 2- or 4-year degree in turf grass management or a related field. Individuals currently enrolled in a turf program are welcome to apply
Experience Requirements
Some golf course experience helpful, but not required . Willing to train anyone willing to learn.
Special Requirements
Must be able to obtain state pesticide license

Overview
The foreman works under the golf course superintendent and assistant golf course superintendent in a supervisory capacity. Responsibilities include delegating work assignments, overseeing job performance and inspecting course conditions. The irrigation specialist, under the supervision of the golf course superintendent or assistant golf course superintendent, is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the golf course irrigation system(s). The irrigation specialist is required to report any irregularities in course turf quality to the superintendent or assistant superintendent.

Responsibilities include delegating work assignments, overseeing job performance and inspecting course conditions. The chemical technician, under the supervision of the golf course superintendent or assistant superintendent, performs chemical applications on golf course properties; fertilizes tees, greens and fairways; and applies chemicals on areas of the golf course, including but not limited to, greens, tees and fairways.. The chemical technician is responsible for reading, understanding and keeping current with chemical labels and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). This position is also responsible for compiling preliminary reports of pesticide usage for the golf course superintendent.

Springfield Country Club is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to manage the golf course equipment fleet. Job duties would include, but not limited to; daily mower set-up, grinding reels, rotary mowers, small gas engine maintenance, larger diesel equipment, equipment maintenance records, preventative maintenance and lubrication, and assisting in equipment repair budgeting and inventory. In addition, limited work on the course when necessary for special events.
The Equipment Manager would work closely with the superintendent and assistant superintendents daily in a team atmosphere. Springfield Country Club is fortunate to have a full and supportive golf membership. We host the US Open Sectional Qualifying annually, and have hosted the Ohio Am, US Senior Am, and Barstool Classic in 2020. Our fleet is primarily Toro, with John Deere tractors and EZ-GO utility carts.
