POSITION: LANDSCAPE/GOLF COURSE 2ND ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: CCN IS CURRENTLY LOOKING TO FILL OUR LANDSCAPE ASSISTANT POSITION UNTIL THE END OF 2022 SEASON. 2023 SEASON THE LANDSCAPE ASSISTANT WILL BECOME THE 2ND ASSISTANT ON THE GOLF COURSE AND GROUNDS.
BASIC FUNCTION(S):
SERVES AS A HANDS-ON LEADER FOR OUR LANDSCAPE DEPARTMENT. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE PLANNING AND EXECUTING LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE AND LAWN CARE OPERATIONS. ACTIVELY OVERSEES A STAFF OF UP TO 3-7 CO-WORKERS. EFFECTIVELY TRAINS AND COMMUNICATES OUR EXPECTATIONS TO OUR CO-WORKERS. CONTINUOUSLY INSPECTS FIELD WORK TO ENSURE OUR STANDARDS ARE BEING EXECUTED. COORDINATES WITH OUR EQUIPMENT MANAGER , GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT AND GOLF COURSE ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT TO ENSURE THAT ALL SUPPORT AND SERVICE IS CONDUCTED AND FULFILLED IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF COUNTRY CLUB OF THE NORTH.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
§ COLLEGE DEGREE IN HORTICULTURE/LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT OR RELATED FIELD.
§ 3-5 YEARS’ EXPERIENCE MANAGING A LANDSCAPE OPERATION OF SIMILAR SIZE.
§ MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN LANDSCAPE DESIGN THAT INCLUDES A PALETTE FOR SEASON COLOR AND PRACTICAL DESIGN OF SMALL TO MEDIUM LANDSCAPE PROJECTS IN OUR REGION.
§ POSSESSES OR ABILITY TO OBTAIN OHIO PESTICIDE LICENSE.
§ EXCELLENT ORAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS.

Company Overview
Losantiville Country Club was founded in 1902 as is a Tom Bendelow designed golf course. The course features bentgrass greens, tees, and fairways. The club is the home course for the University of Cincinnati’s Women’s Golf Team. Currently, the course is in the middle of a Golf Course Enhancement Project that includes new forward tees on every hole, new back tees, reshaping of some fairways, and renovation of every bunker of the golf course.
Job Overview
Under the supervision of the Director of Golf Course Maintenance, the Superintendent will be responsible for all aspects of golf course maintenance.
The Superintendent must be motivated, passionate about the industry, and possess a strong work ethic.

Position: 2nd Assistant Superintendent Course: Sycamore Creek Country Club Location: Springboro, OH
Sycamore Creek Country Club in Springboro Ohio is currently looking for a 2nd assistant golf course superintendent. The 2ndassistant superintendent works under the golf course superintendent and assistant golf course superintendent in a supervisory capacity. Responsibilities include delegating work assignments, overseeing job performance and inspecting course conditions.
Functions
Oversees the completion of work assignments by crew members and assists with decisions regarding job procedures, work standards and machinery use.
Enforces safe working conditions with all job assignments and is responsible for instructing staff on proper equipment use and work methods.
Supervises special projects and labor crews.
Reports golf course conditions and all disciplinary problems to the golf course superintendent or assistant golf course superintendent.
Opens the maintenance shop and runs operations in the absence of the golf course superintendent and assistant golf course superintendent.
Strongly motivated to align and partner with superintendent to complete all tasks to the highest standards and achieve team goals.
Is actively involved in daily moisture management on playing surfaces
Employment standards
A two or four year degree in turfgrass management is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of tools, methods, and materials used in grounds construction, landscaped area maintenance work and building maintenance and improvement.
Proficiency in computer use, knowledge of Microsoft Office and other applications as specified by supervisor.
Ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
Knowledge of agronomy, turfgrass science and the rules of golf.
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Proven leadership capabilities.
Ability to obtain a pesticide applicator license.
Must demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.

Position: Assistant Superintendent Course: Beavercreek Golf Club Location: Beavercreek, OH
Beavercreek Golf Club is a top-tier public golf course, located in Beavercreek, Ohio. Beavercreek Golf Club opened in 1996, and was designed by Brian Huntley. The 18-hole golf course consists of a front 9 surrounded by woods, while the back 9 is more open with creeks and ponds. The Golf Course Superintendent will be responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep program for a high-volume public golf course in Arlington, OH.
